  • by

This time on the Kooler Lifestyle Podcast, Matt sits down with Julie Reid, Executive Director, and Pat O’Neill, Board Member for the organization, Living Journeys! Living Journeys is a non-profit organization who’s mission is to provide financial support, emotional support, and enrichment programs for everybody living in Gunnison county effected by cancer as a whole. Their vision is to see that nobody fights cancer alone. Pat’s brother was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, as such he grew up in a community service centric environment while Julie was inspired by the ‘community helping community’ atmosphere she felt everywhere in the Gunnison valley. They both talk about Living Journey’s operation as ‘constantly adapting’ to the needs of those most vulnerable, citing the large amount of changes the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 brought for everybody. They remind us all that being a caregiver is a huge undertaking in of itself and that those struggling the most are less likely to ask for help.
